I do too when the bill is fairly large. Otherwise I  pay in cash as in fact most
people still do. It is easy enough to do since there is an ATM conveniently
located in the store.

What I like about using the debit card is the cash back feature. That
allows me to pay for the groceries with the card while getting back a
hundred in cash. There is no fee for that cash back transaction and it
beats paying the fees they
charge for using ATMs.  The only drawback is the $100 limit.
