It's possible in linux,  I think that's in one of the HOWTO files.  The
biggest problem you'll run into is that sound cards are real resource hogs,
the one I'm using under linux for example wanting three different i/o areas
and two DMA channels and two IRQs.  That's an ISA card.  If you have 'em to
spare,  then you shouldn't have a problem.
