Hi Jonathan--
During 1995, I called Addison-Wesley Press quarterly (they have an
800 number in the US, but that wouldn't help you!) and asked for the
publication date of the 2nd edition of the book in question. (I had an
ISBN for it, once, but have since lost it.) I was usually given a
von-Neumann constant of three months to publication. When I called them
during December 1995, I was told that the publication date was
indefinite. I assume this is publisher-speak for "it's off the list" so
I quit calling. As I remember, I posted that information in this
conference at the time, possibly in a post to Mike Bilow.
I am on A-W's technical pubs mailing list, so I assume I will hear
about it if the book ever comes to be. If so, I'll try to remember to
let you know.
Regards,
--Murray
