Hello John,

I agree, my ThinkPad T61 has no physical serial port but COM1 is listed
in the BIOS. The older TP T23 has one physical serial port and both COM1
and COM2 are listed in the BIOS.

Needless to state that all my fixed machines do have both ports listed
in the BIOS as well as physically available but they are disabled in the
BIOS since they are used from the extension bus:es in the machine's.
