The article was stressing the danger of the blurry-eye infection
spreading widely among the house finches (sparrow sized birds known for
their reddish orange bellies).  It said feeding stations may help to
spread the disease.  I'm not feeding outside birds now because I
don't want to take the chance of exposing my bird pals to this disease.
