Not to put too fine a point on it but Phil and I said from the outset that
there were no WMD in Iraq.

( http://www.harrisinteractive.com/harris_poll/index.asp?PID=684 ) shows
that half of the polled Americans believe there were WMD in Iraq.

I think we actually said there were no _useable_ WMD in Iraq. The
discovery of 500-odd abandoned and unuseable shells and suchlike is well
within what I expected. As I said at the time, it was obvious Saddam
cleaned house in 1991 and what has been found so far is just the result of
his people failing to carry out his orders.
I'm really starting to wonder about Saddam - and wonder whether he's really
a nice guy.
That sounds bizarre, perhaps, but it's a fact becoming more convincing
every day that almost NOTHING we were told about Saddam's regime has panned
out. Really nothing. The stories from the "defectors" have
turned out to be from a bunch of (largely convicted) criminals.
The charges in this court hearing against him are not denied - he admits
those people died. By any natural law, Shrub sould face a court for Iraq.
He'll probably be long dead before the pendulum swings that far, but I'm
not taking bets.
So Congress got to see a few Iraqi porn movies. You want to see videos of
Californians raping and mutilating Latinos? Violent rape, bestiality? I
got some web site addresses if you've got a credit card. Half of the
world's porn is hosted in the USA. But as Hllywood and Bollywood show us
daily, you can show anything on film and interview the actors afterwards.
