* Reply to msg originally in Australian Trading Echo -=> Quoting Rob Hilditch to Tim Epstein <=- TE> In the sysop echoes, we have been encouraging people to use OPTUS for TE> local calls, by dialling 1456xx where xx is your local area code ie; TE> 03. Its a hassle doing so for each voice call, but is easy to add to TE> your comms program dialling directory prefix. RH> does this apply nation wide or only in some available areas ? Dialling '1456' only applies to those areas that have already had their ballot for default STD carrier, in areas serviced by Optus that have not had their ballot you dial 1 , i.e. in STD area 044 to make a local call to my BBS using Optus, who started service here the weekend after "That Bloody Sunday", you dial 1-044-729631. This gives you an UNTIMED local call that is itemised on your Optus bill. cat chew l8a, /\/\ick --- Blue Wave/Max v2.20 [NR]* Origin: Clyde Technology User Group 044 72-9631 (3:625/155) SEEN-BY: 50/99 620/243 623/630 624/300 625/100 150 155 711/409 410 413 430 SEEN-BY: 711/510 808 809 816 933 934 712/515 713/317 601 615 618 676 700 888 SEEN-BY: 714/906 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 625/155 100 713/888 711/808 809 934 |
