Given Kay's record, he expected some confirmation of his clams about Iraq and WMD. He didn't get it, ever from Kay, which is why even Republicans in Congress are increasingly skeptical of Bush's claims. And no, there is not a shred of evidence to support Kay's contention that Saddam hid anything, certainly not his bio-weapons research projects. Those projects were dismantled by the first inspection teams under Ekeus. What was found later were scraps of papers and some very small amounts of materials that could be used to develop bio-weapons and they were not hidden by Saddam but by a few scientists who buried some of the stuff in their backyards or hid it in their homes. Kay is lying no less than Bush. That is also the reason Kay went out of his way to point up in his interim report that Saddam had development programs for bio-weapons, only confoundedly he couldn't find any actual bio-weapons. Of course he couldn't. They were removed, what little there was of them, years ago. But Kay's report did give enough to Bush so that Bush could claim that the interim report supported his claims. It didn't and everyone but you seems to be aware of that. If Bush has an excuse for being so obtuse, what is yours? Well, don't bother answering that.
