Hi there..
Maybe I am the odd man (or should I say woman) out, but I am running WIN95
on a networked system of 4 486 DX4 100 machines, a DX2 66, and 2 386
machines. The lowest amout of RAM is 4 megs, and the highest is 16 megs.
I have been running this setup for about 4 months now, and have not had any
problems that were not of my own making.
I run a RemoteAccess Pro platform for the BBS, with FrontDoor & GECHO, and
I have 4 nodes. Granted, I have had to tweak here and there, but you would
have to do tweaking under DOS, and under OS/2 as well.
Yes, all copies of WIN95 are purchased for each machine, and I am really
having no major noteable problems to date.
I run maintenance, and backups under separate windows, but could do this in
conjunction with the BBS if I chose.
Well, Take care,
Margaret Collins, SysOp
