From: Randall Parker John, As I've already said, France, Russia, and later China were the big Saddam supporters. Those are 3 UN Security Council permanent member votes. Your fantasies about the UN being able to stop the US from supporting Saddam are ludicrous since the 3 UNSC members who most opposed the US overthrow of Saddam were supporting him long before the US decided to overthrow him.
