Well now, let's not get carried away with this kind of thing. You are
beginning to sound like some of those far-right kooks you so rightly
despise.

The governor's wife did not advocate that Speers be shot by anyone. Her
remark was obviously intended rhetorically as in; "I dislike that
bastard so much I would like to shoot him."

Only fools or those trying to make political points understood her remark
as advocating that Speers and her kind be shot, literally.  You should be
ashamed of yourself for this kind of ugly twisting of the facts.
