I doubt that'll happen until the resources are almost gone.  The two
parties in the US are funded by major corporations.  Most of the really
good water powered car patents were bought by car and oil companies.  I'm
sure they're working on a way to make that into a monopoly.  I can see it
now, cars that only run on Dasani water...
