If you make drug abuse into a "moral" problem vs a
societal/health problem then by abusing drugs yourself you are becoming
amoral which then makes it hypocritical for you to "moralize" per
se.
If he had said that abusing drugs is a health problem then he'd be fine.
However instead he has shown himself (by his own standards) to be
amoral/"morally challenged" & thus any reference by him to
(the lack of) morals in others is simple hypocrisy.
