I bought this because it was very low RPM compared to many others, IIRC at ~2400 RPM roughly half that of the OEM fan that came with the CPU. Compare its specified noise level of 23.0 dBA to its 400 RPM faster $1.00 cheaper sibling at 33.4 dBA. http://tinyurl.com/7k9t7 Even with the lower claimed airflow capacity, it runs ~4C cooler than my 400 MHz slower Northwood Celeron with its 3300 RPM (and much quieter than 2.8G Prescott) OEM fan. -- "Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made."
