Note, however, that there have been problems with dual-channel LSILogic boards (and others -- e.g., Tekram -- that use their chips) and some motherbards, especially those using an Award BIOS: when the OS/2 driver loads, it cannot find the second SCSI channel. LSILogic said it was a BIOS problem. I don't know whether the problem still exists in later Award BIOSes. My mobo is about 4yrs. old now. -=- Alan On 05/03/05 12:56 am Robert M Riddle tossed the following ingredients into the ever-growing pot of cybersoup: > I have gotten rid of all my Adaptec cards and gone to LSI -- better > hardware, better drivers and tech support as well. > >For you SCSI fans, is this any good? > >AHA-2940U2B AIC-7890AB jameco.com 191513CC $29.95 > > > >https://jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&pa=191513CC&productId=124110 > https://jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&pa=191513CC&productId=124110> Yahoo!
