Not any more with people who have Spirits but still have a positive IQ.
You'll be pleased to know that I fall into that category, have modified the
Binkley source to put in a 2/10 second delay, and double-send on V42 is
ancient history.  As for the bad connects, you might want to try forcing
V32.  BFN.
