I set my firewall to allow this one application to talk to the world, it
talks to one small group of servers. I didn't limit it to a port but it
looks like you could limit it to one high port. I think they have a demo,
you download the software and where you put in your username/password there
was a choice of "guest" so I think maybe they give you 2 minutes
of free test or something. The program itself was only 844K.

It does run a small banner ad that it tries to http get from one of the
servers, I blocked that  but I didn't need to as it is a real
small banner.
