If you could be there to witness the Big Bang, where is the 'there 
there' that you could be?  If all mass and energy of the universe 
is in a single point, then of course, it would be a black hole of 
such power that no light would be emmitted for you to perceive an 
image of what was happening. 
 
I spoze there might be some other 'there there' for you to be when 
it goes off, but obviously, it won't be someplace in the naescent 
universe, and if it is not *there*, it might just as well be in a 
small space between your ears in a cerebral cortex.
