Probaly.  I would have thought the 'walkman' version would have been
better for your application as these have a buffer ( of 2 or 3
seconds, AIR) to allow for skipping when someone is jogging with
one.

In a vain attempt to boost the market, which does not seem to be
happening.  I can't see this situation lasting for much longer, it
must be costing the manufacturers a fortune.  
It looks to me like a repeat of the DAT scenario.  Prices were
dropped in an attempt to get the domestic market, nobody wanted to
play ball so the price went up again and only the professionals use
the things now.
