you run Windows on that system with all the raving zealots around who
will be baying for your blood ?  Have you no shame ?

Its safest to do that within Windows, it can get a bit confused tho just
plain deleting it it usually manages to handle ok.

If you do use Win much you may well want to keep it, its usually the
best swap file approach. Mainly helps the startup speed. But also helps
the in use speed coz that allows faster swap file ops in some circumstances.
