If you want to print your pictures, it depends what size you want. With
640x480, 3"x5" is pushing it. 2.0 will do 5"x7", 3.1
will make a nice
8"x10", and 4.0 11x14. You can crop a 3.1 MP and print it in 3x5 or
5x7, etc.

Since most cameras use a compressed format for the pictures, your files
won't quite be so big, depending on the complexity of the picture. With
a 128 mb flash card, my camera can store well over 100 3.1 MP pictures
in .jpg format.
