No. LOOKED like a converted truck, but you're right. It WAS a Unimog,
and certainly had all the associated survival appurtenances, but might
have just been a limited production vehicle. It was certainly STRONG!

Absolutely! But half a mile off those highways the country is just as
intimidating as it was two hundred years ago. Everything that grows is
either thorny or poisonous or BOTH! Some of the terrain in those
mountains would turn a mountain goat's stomach, and without water you
DIE.
I certainly is beautiful though.
Now, back to aviation. DuPont built a VERY nice little dirt strip near
the river at Las Lindas. One way in, one way out. Same way.
