Don,

I have a Sony similar or the same as Kris's.  If you go this route use
the CD.  The miniture CD's hold 156MB.  The camera assigns the name like
   DCS00094.JPG.  Copy it to your harddrive and you can rename it to 
what ever
your file system allows.
