GJ> I think the cassette will hang on for a while in the domestic
GJ> market - if only because of the almost universal availability of car
GJ> radio/cassette units. I mean, have you ever *tried* to buy a radio
GJ> only unit? I have, and it's nigh on impossible!
It's funny, because I have experienced the exact opposite! I tried
to get cassette and I ended up with radio only! (2 times actually!!).
But I wasn't the one buying the car so... :)

GJ> People like the simple technolgy required to make copies of their
GJ> favourite records for playing in the car.

Yeah, well, if you have a CD player in the car, it's even simpler! ;)

GJ> way the market will move. It should be interesting to watch what
GJ> happens over the next couple of years. I think, if I had shares in
GJ> the DAT business, I'd be putting my money somewhere else .
hehehe! which is what 3M did (not just with DAT)... (though I always
thought they went a little too fast: they almost had the whole market to
     themselves when they did it...)
... Everybody should believe something: I believe I'll have another beer!
