Hello Wayne -

No way to just remove the video drivers? Why bother? I guess to
give W31 the opportunity to display video?

Alan Zisman would know the answer to that question.

Quick answer. I have no idea. I've maintained very vanilla
simple hardware for many years. I don't enjoy being told my
hardware is too old when I need to replace a cable, wire, clip,
or whatever so I just tend to leave it alone and not risk doing
any damage.

AFAIK Windows will decide what IRQ is used where etc. I've not
really been paying attention to that information over the years.

Well ... if I was going to multi-boot several OS, and if I had
a way to make backups of all of that, yes I guess your
arrangement makes sense?

Alan Zisman mentioned recently that he was having problems with
MultiMail. He _later_ happened to mention he is using an iMAC
with a PC emulator program that executes W98SE which loads and
executes MultiMail within a dosbox (which is a W98SE
emulation). I wonder what could be causing his MM problems? :-)

I'm guessing given enough time and money this is where you are
headed. LOL

This brings back memories of oldtimers who repeatedly warned me
that I was in danger of becoming "Jack of all trades, master of
none". I am a master mechanic (journeyman patternmaker) so I
fooled 'em!
