1237a5063eaf tech Hello Russell - --8<--cut RT>> I dunno, people seem to have been telling me that RT>> streaming audio would work over 10M. I guess I'll find out RT>> where the limits are, once I get going with this stuff. RT> Well it works reasonably well over a 56k modem ... At the risk of 'reminding' you of more information you already are aware of, the music files that stream using 56k modems are created with that purpose in mind. They are at lower rates of bps and higher levels of compression which does tend to do damage to the sound of reproduction. Since few have decent speakers connected to their computer few notice the degradation. If you've never heard the full CD audio version of the music file at 320kbps you don't notice what is missing at 28.8-40kbps. :-) This was my reason for mentioning that full CD audio is 10meg per minute of sound reproduced. > > , , > o/ Charles_Angelich - DOS Ghost \o , > __o/ > / > www.undercoverdesign.com/dosghost/faf/ < \ __\__ ___ * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
