++> CHAOS ???: ..........a geometry of natural understanding ???
..........another language of an artsy god ???
..........an unknowable instinct of nature ???
..........a right brain phantasy ???
Several of your postings have mentioned "chaos", which I
had never thought seriously about. Since trying to become
familiar with fractals, the term "chaos" keeps coming up.
I can work with it in generalities, as a "primordial cosmic
expanse" or just a note of "confusion", but the idea of "chaos"
being definable into formulae, bends my thinking some ....at least
and unless in the presence of some other questions/views. That
any piece (or even ALL) of reality can be so confined into
predictable windows and reduced to portable algorithms, seems to
suggest "SOMETHING". Assuming such developing theory reaches a
valid platform of workable acceptance, what would that "SOMETHING"
mean? If just another clever twit of nature (data/matter compression)
...Why bother with so much space and knowability, unless nature (or
God) has limits?
Just thought I'd get your take on a growing area of inquiry
(especially since I'm so fuzzy on how to frame such "pattern poetry"
into an initial grasp). Since the fractal/chaos implications
are still working their way into serious science, the whys? and
what ifs tease the imagination. What happens to philosophy if all
reality can be projected or derived from math formulae? .....or do
we then have a "philosophy of chaos" that dwells to explore number
patterns?

" I got damned mad at being disturbed by Tiamant and her
chaos of noisy kids ...and I gave them some order. I called
it 'FRACTAL GEOMETRY', and except for an occasional tease,
I kept it PRETTY MUCH private for some next many millennia
down the line. "

NOTE: Though I've reached the point where I can plot both ends of
complex numbers (normal x's & imaginary y') on my monitor, I'm
still having considerable pain understanding the progression
transformations themselves. I'm having to work with math and
notations I never learned. I wonder that anyone not soaked
in math (me) can ever fully appreciate the next and potential
levels of complexity or the search formulas for reverse compression
algorithms. Those who would write the "holodeck" programs are going
to be some pretty talented dudes....with some considerable debug
years ........!!!
