Hi Teresa!
-=> Quoting Teresa Johnson to Wendy Buchanan <=-
TJ> It's a really pretty jewel like color. I'm using a varigated yarn
TJ> that is pink, rose, white, light blue, and a darker blue. And the
TJ> outside border is just plain ole white. I haven't had much of a chance
It sounds lovely. That variegated yarn sure has changed the
speed with which a person can make something like an afghan
without changing colors so much, hasn't it?
TJ> Are you kidding??? She doesn't even like to go in at bedtime!! Right
TJ> now she's made a nest in my desk cause she thinks she laid an egg.
TJ> Actually, it's the tracker ball out of an old mouse we had (now stop
TJ> laughing...you're going to spit all over the monitor!)
I'm splitting my sides on this one! The things our pets do
to keep things lively! Melanie Boucher says her kitty got
his front paw caught in a plastic Wal-Mart sack he was curious
about and dashed all over trying to get away from it, while
the sack just "chased" him all over the place, and he was really
frantic. Of course she was laughing hysterically, so she was
not much help to him!
TJ> And doesn't stop until it's in front of her! Steve and her are
TJ> snoozing on the couch right now. It's so cute looking.
It sounds cute to me! A man and his bird, huh?
TJ> Nope, this is a mesh cloth, not plastic canvas. The name on the
TJ> package says weave-able afghan cloth??? Haven't opened it up yet, but
TJ> it's on my to-do list. Along with 100 other things. gosh I'm
TJ> ambitious today!
Making the list would take me all day the way things are going
for me lately! I've had to wing it here.
I have made those afghans. They don't take as long as it does
to crochet one but they are so nice and soft and warm! And the
lacy mesh makes a pattern as well as the way you weave the yarn.
I have two here that I want to do. One's directions make it up
like a "trip around the world" quilt and the other one is just
plain, more or less. As plain as one of those can get, they are
so pretty when done.
TJ> Nope, no instruction sheet...but I'll keep working on it and get
TJ> frustrated and throw it down again. Sounds like a plan to me! Yes, I
TJ> had a good birthday. A surprising one, but good just the same. Talk
TJ> to ya soon, Teresa
I'm so glad you had a good one. Tom's was Easter and he ordered
himself a scanner. He's wanted it for a long time and now he's
got it but can't use it because they sent the software for it on
CD-Rom and he doesn't have one. So I have to listen to
him whine...
LadyBear Hugs,
Wendy
... I got all my ducks in a row, and they said I was "QUACKERS!"
