Infinitely. Basic stands for "Bill Gates's and beginners'  all-purpose
standard instruction code", which says all.
There  are  a  lot of (simple) problems that can be better solved with
Basic than with C++ (because the power  of  C++  wasn't  designed  for
simple  problems).  There  are  a  lot of languages that enable you to
solve these problems properly and even easier than Basic.
