AV>Many people with 50 years of experience have only one year
AV>of experience repeated 50 times.
Speak for yourself. I had many varied experiences which were different.
Working in a mental instititution before tranquilizers, being a drug and
alcohol counselor in the Alaskan "Bush" 100 or more miles from the
nearest hosptial, office nursing, different types of specialty floors
such as newborn nursery or postpartem.......I;ve done all that and more.
I tended to learn quickly, then get bored by repetitious acts and look
for another job. Couldn't afford to go to school as I was supporting a
couple of kids on a salary that started out at $300 a month.
AV>You have no knowledge regarding what I know or who my peers are,
AV>and my making representations regarding what I know wouldn't make
AV>any difference because (like your purported credentials) there is
AV>no way to check their validity here. This is why I have relied
AV>upon presenting information that can be publicly checked.
Then go find yourself a copy of the DSM IV and find all of the
references to marijuana.
AV>Moreover, even if your representation of your background
AV>is true, there is no way to know your credibility. In fact,
AV>during your participation in various echoes on fidonet you have
AV>not provided anything other than evidence that you are a person
AV>with his/her own personal opinion and agenda. You drop the names
AV>of authorities without specific citation, and if your opinion is
AV>supported by authoritative resources in any way, it is supported
AV>only by reading for the parts of such resources (such as DSM IV)
AV>that agree with your view and ignoring the parts that don't
AV>support your agenda.
There isn't much in the DSM IV that I don't agree with as far as
marijuana is concerned. At one time the DSM stated that cocaine was not
addictive. It can be very, very wrong.
AV>It is not surprising that your personal
opinion is contrary to AV>authorities like the American Public Health
Association which AV>relies upon current research and is interested in
developing AV>the truth about marijuana:
There are other authorities which have developed information on
marijuana which satisfies everyone but those who want to use the stuff
for one reason or another.
Those who keep at this are those with their own agenda, not folks who
are disinterested bystanders.
