Just thought I'd let you know the latest.  Frank finally managed to get an
appointment to see his attorney on Saturday next, found out that the DA set
a TRIAL date (SOP in these cases, where the plea bargain hasn't been done,
according to the lawyer), for LAST Friday, and no one bothered to let Frank
know.  Luckily, nothing came of it, and no warrant was issued when he didn't
show up.  Thing is, the Probation people STILL don't have their paperwork 
on the judge's desk-and this is now four months after they said it would
be done in two weeks!  Well, Frank told them to stuff the plea bargain, and
insisted on seeing the lawyer.  We can't afford another one, could barely 
afford this one.  He's going to find out exactly what is going on and let him
know that we're going to have to move from the local area soon, and need this
resolved so Frank doesn't have to come back up here at the drop of a hat-as
well as return every Friday to show his face at the Bond Company-who weren't
informed about the court date either!  
This is getting crazier and crazier.  I'll let you know what happens on 
Saturday.
