-> JC> Oh, I think so. Oceanic control when it comes to salmon fishing,
-> JC> for instance. But, I'll give you more details after Tuesday.
LP> Oh, the never-ending fish wars.
Yes, according to the prof, those are the only ones still in dispute. We
covered about twelve disputes in two days. (Trivia question: Prior to Alaska
entering the Union, which was the northern most state boundary in the U.S.?)
LP> I'm glad to have done both. Well, keep me posted on your course.
Next Tuesday, we get a guest lecturer: Robert McCullough. From the syllabus:
"Managing Partner of McCullogh Research, a firm which has done much
consulting work on Canadian-American energy (both electric and gas) issues.
Mr. Mcullough serves as an economic adviser to the Crees in the negotiations
with Hydro-Quebec on the Great Whale development."
On Thursday we will see the film "The Last Train Across Canada".
My project topic: "Explorers of the Canadian West".
It's a very interesting class. We learn a lot about the U.S. as well.
