Tom, I think you live in one mighty fine city and if I could come up
with a good enough reason to live in Oklahoma (), yours would be on
top of my list for places to move to... seriously. But, I also think
yours is the waaaaaay far exception. In the real world now, you defend
yourself from ANYTHING, especially something like your wife's honor, you
end up convicted of all sorts of felonies, THEN the scumbag that made a
pass at your wife sues you, gets your home, your car, your job, AND in
the end, your wife divorces you because of the stress brought on by the
whole ordeal. Documented cases abound.

>problem with an axe or a gun, rather the old-fashioned way, with your
fists.
Even calling him on the phone and threatening him can be construed as
"assault" and gives him the "right" to come after your assets.
The only way to handle the problem physically is to find him in a dark
alley and make yourself a criminal by kicking the nonsense out of him
anonymously. Same result, you just have a better chance of not getting
ID'd by him. He can't come after you in court if he can't tell the jury
who did it.
TR>With the circumstances given, the only difference between the 50's and now
i
>my city is the dollar amount of the fine.
Not so in the rest of the world. Now, the _verbal_ suggestions made by
the scumbag are just the result of his environment, abuse by his mother
(hence a propensity to insult women), and several other touchy-feel-good
issues brought up by his attorney. He had a perfect RIGHT to suggest to
your wife that she show him some affection... after all, he was just
being _friendly_. As for YOU, the big bad dude with an attitude who
must resort to _physical_ V-I-O-L-E-N-C-E!!!!.... you know, the stuff
that teachers tell our kids that is no longer appropriate in ANY
circumstance... you will have to answer to the legal system and then the
civil system. You will lose BIG time in both.
>50's was $20, and today it is $200. I am perfectly willing to pay $200 to
>pound some guy making a pass at my wife.
Me to... and I WILL, but I won't do it on the court house lawn.
Regards,
Ron
