-> TW> I solved a CMOS battery on one computer some years ago by NEVER -> TW> turning it OFF. :-) :-) -> I did that for a few years as well and it's more practical -> now with the BIOS enabled power saver features on this machine that -> seem perfectly content with both Windows and Linux. -> Still at 4 dollars at Radio Shack I shall pick up the -> CR2032 coin cell. I've only secured the CD-ROM with a single -> screw until that time so I can push it forward and will only -> completely button up the machine in March when the new drive is put in. With computers not going fully to sleep and only using a little more power then a 10 watt night light there is realy no reason to turn off ones computer. Except for a significant other chipping in yor ear that there is a Light on the Computer!! :-) --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Shakey Jake's *ALL FREE BBS* Santee, CA (1:202/1324) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 202/1324 10/3 106/2000 1 379/1 633/267 |
