AFAICT, discussions were to be limited to general topics on the state of 
eComStation, its future, etc., more like chatting sessions.  IIRC, 
occasional forays into problems of installation were tolerated by the 
list moderators.  I gave up on that list some time ago as an aid to 
learning more about eCS, since I have not upgraded yet.

I don't think that anyone at SSI is of that opinion, but just wanted a 
list for the discussion of general topics that related to eCS but not to 
previous releases of OS/2.  It seems that the users of eCS wanted to 
have separate lists to discuss other aspects of that version of OS/2, 
which is understandable.  It seems to me that most topics on the new 
lists, eCS-Tech & eCS Apps, are applicable to all versions of OS/2 and 
could be discussed on the OS/2 User or OS2-L lists.  Other than the 
eComStation list, I would prefer only two lists for the discussion of 
software and hardware for OS/2, OS2-L for software and OS/2 Help Desk, 
renamed to OS2-H, for hardware issues.  But I can live with four or five 
extra lists and the resulting redundancy of topics, some in the wrong 
lists, along with the specialised lists for support of particular 
products under active development.  Anyway, that's enough from me.
