subject: [OS2HW] The great analog modem

I have finally aquired the modem I've been looking for!
BestData 56sx-92 external V.92 serial modem. I installed it on my ECS
computer and with changing nothing but directing Injoy to COM1 I am now
downloading even faster than my V.90 internal modem was. If anyone's
interested, I got it from gearxs.com:

They also have a Biostar M7VKQ socket A Duron/Athlon motherboard with
one ISA slot but only three PCI slots as it has onboard everything. I
hate the idea of video on the motherboard, but the sound chip I think
is via 686B which the uniadio driver works with and the ethernet is
RTL8100. Has an AMR slot which AFAIK nothing that would plug into it
will work with OS/2 (PnP brain-dead modems).

I saw this one and thought of Don looking for a fairly fast computer
with an ISA slot that should work with OS/2 that's not too pricey.
