AFAIK, this is the first posting of the allowed input method for dates past
12/31/99. It *is* cosmetically odd , but Maximus does handle the date as
expected when input in this manner. Thanks for the info.
The real y2k compliance problem is with user editors other than the one built
into Maximus. I entered an expiry date of 1/1/02 in UED - it got translated
to 1980. The same date entered in UEDIT (I know, it's a Max v2 utility)
appeared to translate into 2030 (!). Entering the expiry date via the
internal Max user editor showed a date of 1/1/10 when viewed by UED. (These
informal tests run on a 386DX40 with a '91 BIOS and today's date on the
internal clock).
So until the external user editors can handle the dates properly (ie, agree
with the Maximus internal user editor) one must use the internal editor to
set expiry dates past 12/31/99.
