Salut Thom,
JK>>>> So what? A 120-meter DAT tape in longplay-mode can record up to 8
hours
JK>>>> of non-stop-music. With the new Tascam double DAT recorder, you can
JK>>>> expand that to 16 hours on two tapes sequentially.
 TK>>> Yes....but what about the costs ?
JK>> Yes, what about them? The tapes are cheaper.
TK> Over here the VCR-tapes are much cheaper than DAT-tapes....A VCR-tape is
about
 TK> F 12,- and a DAT-tape about F 25,- the same about VCR versus
DAT-recorder.....a
TK> DAT recorder costs about F 1200,- and a VCR about
 TK> F 400,- and that's a remarkable difference
Well, over here the DAT-tapes are cheaper.
For the recorders, you are right, but I bet you can't get a hi-end HIFI VCR
for F 400,- ...
BTW: What's the exchange rate guilders/belgian francs?
bye ....
         Joe
