Like my now unused EIDEMAX card.
Looked at CMOS in thiis box again and there's options
to disable EIDE 0 +slave and 1 +slave completely

This one does, thanks for the tip on heat.
I may have to rush on  this as these drives are limited to
stock just now and retailers will be discontinuing.
