I imagine that you are right about that.

If caught, does the bird go to jail? Do you think that the customs people 
would shoot down a bird that they thought was smugling drugs?
I was talking to a woman last year that use to live in the valley. She said 
that one day her maid came to work and brought her chick as a present. Guess 
she just stuck it in her pocket.
It's scary at times. If you have Amazons and live in Texas you are always 
under the gun, so to speak. What kind of birds do you have?
