Good day August. DC> Personally, I like the idea of a temporary hdd connected via DC> USB to a clone or image. Darn right. I know nil as far as RAID is concerned but I could not live without the Restore app in Windows and the more serious cloning of my machines. I fool around enough on this main machine to the extend that I have used Restore quite often, it has recouped an attempt at loading a programme that did not pan out and restoring to just previous to this "experiment". The clone was resorted to only once or twice but has really been the "spare tire" in my opus operandi. I do a clone on the first day of every month as a discipline. Charles is the one person who put me up to Acronis, I used it first as it was designed to clone to a larger HD so as to substitute it in a Thinkpad but soon adopted this procedure as a fine backup. What more is RAID offering ? --- Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:8.0) Gecko/20111105 Thunderbird/8.0* Origin: Fidonet Via Newsreader - http://www.easternstar.info (1:123/789.0) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 550 620 848 953 @PATH: 123/789 500 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
