subject: regular expressions again?

From: hbj@cableinet.co.uk
Hi, hope that this is still the right address, but here it goes.
I thought I had had regular expressions wrapped, but now that I have a
list of filenames with a bunch of html instructions after them, I can't
find the formula to clean it up so that just the filenames are left.
Here's a typical line:
Douglas XA-2
Easy enough to get rid of the material up to and including the href=,
but to get rid of the stuff after html, seems to be another story.
so please, could someone who feels really comfortable with regular
expressions give me a hand?
Thanks
regards
