Anyone know if installing a CMOS battery backwards will damage the CMOS? I installed a new battery and it STOPPED the clock despite putting it in as indicated. I'm thinking of reversing it from what the holder is marked as I don't ubderstabd this. Clock holds fine when the machine is on with no battery. Anyone got any EDO RAM sticks available at a resonable price? One of my 8 meg sticks went bad so I'm stuck with only 16 meg not having yet checked to see if it'll use an odd number, 3, sticks for 24 meg RAM. --- MultiMail/PBellDOS v0.42* Origin: FidoTel & QWK on the Web! www.fidotel.com (1:275/311) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 275/311 10/345 379/1 633/267 |
