If I can put my little 2 cents in the conversation, I'd say that I for
one am not worried at all by DVD... What plays a part in the success of
a new media is not it's quality, but it's release timing, which is
something the DVD doesn't have, in my opinion, as the CD is just getting
installed in computers and home-burning... I'm not worried the DVD will
replace the CD (at least for a reasonable time), but rather that it'll
replace the LaserDisc (which has already started... I'm not even sure
they still release movies on LaserDisc...)
... Experience is directly proportional to ruined equipment.
