Well, I did all of 1, 2 and 3 above Felix.  Still no font install.

I could not find any Verdana file at 149,752 bytes.  Just the one in
mswbfnts.zip that is 139,640....not that this matters right now.

I got the DEJAVU font D/L package that would not install either.

I went to my BU eCS 1.14 system and I can not install any fonts there either.

Is this install font process really that broken.  It sure is here.
