Fair comment.  I had assumed you were working on music for another
type of company.  You're right, of course, software companies would
have the right kit for this.

That might prove a bit of a stumbling block, I agree.

Quite honestly, can you think of *anything* in this business
which won't be at least obsolescent in two years time?  I'm
damned if I can!
IKWYM but I would take heart in the fact that DVD *is* a new
technology and will take some time to settle down and it will take
even longer before the price drops to something approaching
reasonable.  Also, the amount of space available is way over the top
for music files, really.  It's of far more use to the video guys.
Furthermore, it will be a long time (if ever) before the DVD becomes
a part of a typical domestic system.
CD writers are not so expensive now and the disks have really
plummeted in price - I'd go for it, IIWY
