I was not inferring a coverup, just the reality of the news media priorities 
in which follow-up stories (particularly something as technical in nature as 
a product defect analysis) will not receive the same placement (pg 4, sec B, 
vs. pg 1, sec A) as the much more sensational "Cop shot by his own gun" 
ory.
