JP>Get 1911 if you want a good pistol.
MA> Yeah, 1911's are great, if you have $800 to start for a vanilla
MA> Springfield, then you go on to add $900 of modifications for stocks,
MA> ambi-safties, brushings, caspian slides, etc. As a matter of fact:
MA> All the 1911 "toters" I know of, only two carry theirs stock. Only
MA> two. Those are fine. One is a Norinco, the other is a Para. If the
MA> 1911 is so great, why do they need all the extra crap? My Smith 686,
MA> un- modified, out of the box, hits steel plates at 80yds. I'd LOVE to
MA> see a stock 1911 reliably do that. If I ever buy 1911, I've given
MA> certain people permission to shoot me with it (so when I wake up in
MA> the morning, I'll never do it again :) )
So, since you've determined that this particular firearm is EXACTLY what YOU
need, anyone else who carries, or even uses, any other handgun is a fool?
Gun snobs really slay me. HA ha hahahaha. Get some sleep Michael.
I guess you don't have any expensive hobbies, do you. I know people who spend
25K for their automobiles. Are they idiots because I drive a dented pickup
that will carry more than their sedans? No, they enjoy their very nice mode
of transportation. I may believe them to be fools, but I realize that this is
only my opinion. I am also aware that I have hobbies and habits that are
WITHOUT A DOUBT seen by others to be a waste of resources. So what. My dough,
my problem. I might suggest that you take a more kindly view of decisions
others make which affect only themselves.
... Thank you for not sharing your feelings. ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.12
