No not carrots, I besides shrimp, Meaty flakes, and such as
spiriola? (sp?) and flakes of a vegetarian mix.
From one of my books:
Barbus schwanenfeldi
This active fish needs space and plenty of GREEN matter. It is a avid
consumer of DUCKWEED.
Thereso it does best on a diet that has green matter/vegetarian,
then a diet of alot of "meat" not that it cannot eat meat,
but it probably prefers and digests plant matter best.
Suggest you check for pellets/flakes made from
plant matter to feed m sides the shrimp pellets,
I fed mine a varied diet, not too heavy on the "meat" side.
Native, it eats pretty much underwater plants, as above notes it
loves duckweed.
Doesn't sound like a Pirhana type of fish huh? ;-)
... Are you telling me there's a Donatello virus too?
