MT>> Shonshona, I am curious why you spell God as G-d?
It is understood by most that the omission of vowels in G-d, L-rd,
and the like, are for the sole purpose of showing reverence, and, so as
not to, advertently, or inadvertently "blaspheme" the NAME of the Most
High. While this may appear to be a grand gesture on the part of
most, we would do well to understand that, in truth, it holds little
value at all. Firstly, the name God (Gawd, i.e. pagan deity) and Lord
(the anglicized transitive of Baal) have no place in dialogue
concerning the Heavenly Father. Secondly, and most important, YaHshua
stated that - He came in His Father's name (the name that they would
not receive-even unto this day) (John 5:43) "AND" He states: "Holy
Father, keep through thine own name, those whom Thou hast given me."
Therefore, while many think to conceal his name, the MessYaH wants it
to be manifest! While some won't speak His glorious name (out of fear
of blasphemy [???]), the Saviour councils us to speak His name as we
petition the Father, that we may obtain the things that we desire and
have need of. Besides, why put a (-) in words that we think to be only
titles, yet do you not spell "Jesus" out? If Jesus were the true
name, would you not be uttering the unspeakable? Did the MessYaH not
say: (Again) "I am come in my Father's name"? Does not
scripture inform us that YaHVaH is ONE, and His NAME one? However, those
of understanding know that Jesus (Iesous) stands for Zeus' healer, and
that the true and most wonderful name of our Redeemer is YaHshua the
MessYaH. Use it and Live. For there is only one name given whereby we
MUST be saved. Why will you die, when the power to live extends from
your heart to your lips in the very utterance of YaHshua!
Thanks for reading Mark.
